Raspberries
Packed with nutrition, raspberry plants are easy to grow in the home garden. Like most fruit plants, raspberries grow best in full sun and loamy, well-drained soil. Because they often grow 4-5 ft. tall, provide a trellis for them and make sure that you space them so they receive plenty of air circulation. Raspberry bushes can be planted in the spring and the fall. Choose from black, red or golden raspberry bushes to buy. When selecting raspberries for the home garden, select varieties that will grow in your hardiness zone. Next consider their harvest times. Some raspberry bushes are double cropping and produce two crops a year, while others produce one crop.
