Groundcovers
Groundcovers are some of the biggest problem solvers and hardest working plants in the garden. These are easy-to-grow and often low-growing plants that cover bare spots and choke out weeds. In many cases, they reduce time spent weeding and the expense of mulch. Groundcovers are often planted in challenging areas of the garden and landscape, such as on slopes, between rocks and under trees. Many ground covers are very decorative, providing pretty foliage and flowers. When buying ground-covering plants for sale online, make sure the plants will grow in your hardiness zone. Next, consider their light requirements, soil requirements, water needs, mature height and spread, flowering time and your personal preference.
