Container Veggies
Container gardening is a great option for gardeners with limited garden space. Many herbs and vegetables, like tomato plants, pepper plants, lettuce and cucumbers, can be grown in patio pots. Many vegetable varieties that are suitable for container gardening have a smaller or more compact habits. When growing vegetables and herbs in containers, make sure the pots that you use have adequate drainage. When selecting plants to grow in containers, take into account their light requirements. Most grow best in full sun, or at least six or more hours of direct sunlight daily. Other factors to consider are their soil requirements, water needs, mature height and spread and harvest time.
