Shrubs
Shrubs add structure to landscapes and gardens—and so much more. Fruit-bearing shrubs, like blueberries, can be ornamental and produce delicious fruits. Flowering shrubs add color and often fragrance to the garden when they burst into bloom. For an impressive look, flowering shrubs are often planted in a row to create a flowering hedge. These often attract pollinators. Evergreen shrubs are popular to use as a windbreak or privacy screen. Hydrangeas add summer color to the garden and cut-flower displays. When choosing shrubs and bushes to grow, make sure they are suitable for your grow zone and note their mature height and spread, light requirements and soil requirements.
