Butterfly Bush
Butterfly bushes, or buddleias, are a favorite for attracting pollinators including butterflies, hummingbirds and bees. Easy to grow, reliable and low maintenance, these flowering shrubs add wonderful color and fragrance to the garden and landscape when they bloom in midsummer to fall. Most butterfly bushes grow 6-10 ft. tall and look good planted as accent plants or grouped together. Their showy flower panicles are excellent for cut-flower arrangements. These shrubs are drought tolerant, once established, and deer tend to pass them by. Butterfly bushes grow best when planted in full sun. Butterfly bushes are available for sale in an array of flower colors.
