Sun/Partial Sun
If you have sunny locations in your garden and landscape, make sure you select shrubs and bushes that thrive in the sun. Some bushes, especially fruiting shrubs, butterfly bushes, lilacs and many hydrangeas, perform best when they receive at least 4 or more hours of direct sunlight daily. Usually full sun is considered 6 or more hours of direct sunlight daily and part sun is 4-6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Like other shrubs, our full sun/part sun shrubs provide structure to the garden and can be planted as accent shrubs or hedges. When choosing shrubs to buy, make sure they will grow in your hardiness zone. Other considerations include soil requirements, mature height and spread, flower color, fruits and bloom or harvest time.
