5 in 1 plum tree
Mar 21, 2023 | By Jolly mathew

I expected a tree with 5 grafted branches with tags showing which ones are they. I received a 2 feet long skinny stick and couldn't even tell there is a graft. I planted it any way. I ordered a 5 in 1 apple tree from another company and it came with 5 branches and leaves and was tagged and good. This is very much misleading descriptions and i'm so disappointed.

Only 3 Bud Grafts Took
Feb 24, 2023 | By Katie Anne Gaither

I really think that they should grow these grafts out for a year to make sure they've took. I was very disappointed when I ordered this lat hear that only three made it, who knows which varieties they are. At least other single variety trees have growth beyond the graft. This is just a whip with 5 dormant bud grafts.
Interesting

For educational purposes I would like to attach a photo so folks can see what a bud graft looks like. It is supposted to be one trunk, it is shipped dormant with 5 seperate bud grafts. Four of five buds awoke for me. It would be nice to have a map of the grafts to know which branches are which variety of plum. Also would be good to know what the root stock is. I keep removing the suckers from the trunk below the bud grafts, but maybe would be good to leave one for cross pollination? Finally, It would be best if the grafts were all higher on a taller trunk for mowing, maintenance prunning(unless you do not mind kneeling down on the ground to prune) and deer. I had to plant mine up in a 55galon pot to get them high enough to care for. One variety is dominant and it would be good to have instruction to keep it pruned for balance of the variaties. I did not ask for a refund but did ask for a map to know which variety did not survive in case I want to purchase that variety elsewhere. Burgess could not provide map or specific care instructions but did provide a full refund. Someone has a lot of time investe and I think only a prorated refund would have been reasonable (20%) But I appreciate it as I can give it another attempt. I just hope they get to know their product better.
5-N-1 plum tress

I received my tree less than a week ago. It looks dead. I planted it anyway. It looks like only one plum is grafted and not 5, I see just one trunk. but I am not a expert on multiple plums being grafted. If the tree comes to life and does what it should I will gladly provide a update.

I recd the 5 in 1 tree. Its bud grafted and dormant so i have no idea if all 5 Buds will take. I immediatly put this in water and will plant as soon as possible. I will try and update when the trer sprouts leaves.
