Chojuro Asian Pear Tree

This special heirloom variety originated in Japan, and produces dessert quality 3″ fruits with golden-russet skin and pure white flesh that ripen in late Summer to early Fall. The fruit has a hint of butterscotch in the flavor. These standard trees mature at 16-18′ tall and 14-16′ wide and produce beautiful white flowers in mid-Spring. Attractive foliage turns a beautiful orange-red in the Fall. Very productive tree and the fruit can be kept in cold storage up to 5 months. Provide another Asian pear in the area for pollination. Zones 5-8.
