Green Giant Thuja

Green Giant Thuja
One of the highest quality evergreens available! Green Giant Thuja was introduced to the gardening public by the U.S. National Arboretum. And what an introduction! This outstanding variety is a vigorous grower often growing over 3' per year. Very adaptable trees grow in almost any soil conditions whether you have sandy loam or heavy clay. Extremely uniform pyramidal shape! Trees are extremely uniform in pyramidal shape and require no trimming. Green Giant Thuja is very tolerant to pests, diseases and drought. Eventually reaches a height of 60' tall with a base measuring between 12 and 20 feet. This tree is beautiful when grown as a specimen tree or as an evergreen windbreak. Plant 5-6' apart for a really fast privacy screen, otherwise plant 10-12' apart. Green Giant Thuja can be trimmed to any height and width. Prefers full to partial sun. Deer resistant, drought resistant and evergreen. Supplies are limited so make sure to order yours early! We ship 6-12" bareroot plants.

Purchased 100/10 lived
May 17, 2022 | By Alton Smith

I purchased 100 trees from EBurgess. I cared for them by potting them within minutes of their arrival. I watered them, fed them evergreen fertilizer and kept them out of the frost until it was after Easter. I live in South GA, winter is in January only! As soon as the heat came the trees started dying. I run and manage my own citrus tree farm and know how to treat trees. So it wasn't me. Second point I ordered 50 of the same trees from another supplier and gave them the same dirt, same water, same treatment...they are dark green and thriving! I contacted EBurgess and they have not responded. I wouldn't have given this review if not for the fact only 10 out of 100 trees made it so far but it appears they too may die. I would NOT recommend buying these trees here!
Fantastic Trees

I purchased 6 trees approximately 4 years ago. Four trees survived and my husband trimmed them in 2021 as they were well over 10 feet tall. Not sure what happened with the other two trees, I think I planted them in a very stony area. I will order 2 more and try again as they are beautiful and are providing wonderful shade to our HVAC and heat pump.
They don't grow like they say!

Are not growing! We have them on automatic watering system. We live in farm country so our soil is rich.
