Basal light green foliage has a bristly hairy texture. Foliage goes dormant after flowering and returns each fall. -

4-6" cup-shaped flower has crepe-paper-like, ruffled petals. -

Pruning :
Remove spent flower stems, and remove spent foliage after the plant goes dormant in summer. Spent flower stems or sead heads can be removed after flowering, if desired.
