Native Plum

Native Plum
Native to Eastern & Central North America, this versatile small tree or shrub is very useful in the landscape. Once established, it blooms profusely in late spring to early summer when it covers itself with lots of white flowers that ripen into 1-2" fruits in late summer. The sweet fruits may be harvested for jellies and preserves, or left on for wildlife. Grows 10-12' tall and wide in sunny areas and can be utilized as a screen or windbreak. Best yields are achieved with a pollinator.
