This native tree is an in fall must have! In early spring, clusters of small yellow flowers smother the tree. In the summer, the unique, bright green, mitten-shaped fragrant leaves adorn this nicely shaped tree and give way in fall to show stopping colors in purple and scarlet hues. Grows 30-60' high and 25-40' wide. Shipped 1 to 1-1/2' tall.

I am very hopeful for my little Sassafras tree! Originally ordered two, and just one has made it so far. EVEN after being bitten in half by a rabbit, despite the sapling being caged. Somehow it grew a new bud and has doubled in size. Have now included chicken wire around the original cage (lol) but so far it has leafed out beautifully and even grew one mitten shaped leaf. Hope to order more in the future!
